About Chatterbox
Chatterbox is the first Web Chat application, created specifically for the singles community and online dating. Chatterbox monitors other online Singles members within its own community and lets you know when someone takes interest in you and alerts you with detailed information about each person.

Quick Start - overview
In order to start Chatterbox you will be first asked to log in with your username and password. If you have not registered yet click here and you will get directly to our quick online registration form.
Shortly after you receive your login information by email you can continue to log into Chatterbox.
Once you have done this check "Remember Login" or/and "Remember Password" checkboxes so that you don't have to repeat this process in the future.
Then just click the "Connect" button and the program will launch.

Searching for new Contacts
In order to find other members you can click the "Search "Button on the top of the Chatterbox form and enter your search criteria.
If you are looking for a certain member you can use our "Username search" form. Just enter the username of the member you are seeking and press the "Search" button next to the form.

You may also specify your search if you are looking for members that are online at the moment or/and having photos in their profiles. Just put a tick in corresponding checkboxes.
Note: The number of users online at one time often depends on the time of day. Reduce your search options to a minimum to find more members.

How to Start Conversation
Once you have found other users you can view their details and a photo (if they have any) in the right-hand bottom corner. Here you can also add them to your Contact list, send a kiss/email, view more information in their profile and start a chat with members you like (right click on the username will display the same menu of contact options)

To start a conversation press the "Chat now" button which will temporarily add the member you have chosen to your Contact list and will automatically send him/her a chat request. If he/she declines your chat invitation you will receive notification of this.
If the member accepts the chat request from you (you are notified as soon as he/she confirms his/her wish to communicate) you can start a chat with him/her on the "Contacts" page. Just click the "Contacts" button on the top of the Chatterbox form and you will get to your Contact list with a chat session open for communication.

Chat session
After the session is started you can type in your message and send it by pressing the "Send" button or just "Enter" key. Use Ctrl plus Enter key on your keyboard to start a new line.
You can also add sounds and emotions to your conversation! Simply click on any icon in you chat session window and your message will be sent with the image and sound you have chosen.
To turn off sound in your conversation and Chatterbox in general use the button in the right bottom corner of the window

Contact options
For contact options you can right click on the username of the member you would like to contact.
Chat now
    Will send a request to this user to Chat
Delete from contacts
    Removes this user from your Contacts. While you stay online this person acquires an asterisk next to his username but as soon as you log out he/she disappears from your Contact list.
Send a kiss
    Will go to "Send a kiss" page on the web site so that you can choose a card and send it to this member
Send email
    Will go to your e-mailing page on the web site so that you can send a message to this person
View Profile
    Can view this member’s profile and details
Add to this Session
    Will delete the member from your Contact list when you log out from Chatterbox
Add to Contacts
    The member will be in your Contact list when you login next time
Update Contacts
    Updates information about your contacts if they changed their profiles during your chat session

Contact List
You can chat with the members in your Contact list only. The person is temporarily added to your Contact list when you send him/her a chat request or when you get this request from him.
Note:
The sign (Temporary) next to the username of a member in the right-click menu of your Contact list means that he/she is temporarily added and will be removed from it when you log out. To add him/her to your Contacts just right click on his/her username and select "Add to My Contacts" option
An online member in your Contact list has got a green ball beside his/her username; an offline one is displayed with a transparent blue-grayish ball.
If an online member was added to your Contact list but didn’t accept your chat request, then the ball next to his/her username becomes blue.
If you are chatting with someone and another member has sent you a message at this moment a blinking envelope appears beside his/her username.
When you notice a blue-grayish ball with an envelope it means that the member you were chatting with went offline but you can read the history of your conversation with him/her.

Adding your Photo
Make the most of what you have, don't be shy. If there is one primary reason that men or women do not contact each other, it is because they are contacting other members first that already have a photo in the profile. If you don't have one that you can upload, try your best. Just go to your profile and upload it.
